Century Kite

Airy olympia, century kite, and grace-winged

to the tip. No Swallow, he; no dime-turn or frenzied

dart; no, flies he in lade strokes, flies he in planed strokes.

Smooth, with bounce, and stately, he, like gold nib on cream paper. Or rib

profile; like aviator – goggles to match – glides he like fish or plane, or brush

through bare medium. Brush currents alike, and sport them (like pouncing

cat) off wings. Though – like zeppelin, not;

or flap of wood and fabric, less – nimble,

he, and on a shaft of golden, riding windborne.
